Creative Pathways
Dynamic Community Art for All Ages & Abilities
What Is This and Where Did It Come From?
Sprung from Beth Bailey's personal sketchbooks, a project that has evolved into a community art project.
Over the past 10 months, it is estimated that at least 300 people have participated in The Creative Pathways Project, ranging from small community centers and professional artist studios to the Boston Children’s Museum.
“As a community arts education specialist, I develop and manage programming that stems from a unique cycle of work.”
It all starts with shared sketchbooks that traverse various settings, from artists' studios to offices, libraries, museums, and public events.
“Over time, these sketchbooks evolve into collage materials, which are then used to create beautiful greeting cards for participants to keep.”
The goal is to showcase various pathways to a creative life in all of our communities by highlighting opportunities for art making and art jobs.
I work closely with participants to inspire them and strengthen our artistic communities as a whole.
At the heart of Creative Pathways lies a commitment to
no more new ideas
Our brains are constantly generating ideas, but instead of chasing every new thought, let’s focus on connecting with and developing the ideas we already have. This approach helps streamline creativity.
Let’s do this.
